Maurius de Ortega is a Senior Paralegal in the Dubai office of AMERELLER. He works on UAE corporate structuring and advises international clients across a wide range of sectors on market entry and the establishment of subsidiaries and branches in the United Arab Emirates.
His experience includes company formations in major free zones such as the Dubai International Financial Centre (DIFC), Abu Dhabi Global Market (ADGM), Dubai Multi Commodities Centre (DMCC), and Jebel Ali Free Zone (JAFZA), as well as in the Dubai and Abu Dhabi mainland and in offshore jurisdictions such as the British Virgin Islands.
He is involved in a broad range of corporate matters, including post-incorporation compliance, corporate maintenance and restructuring, changes in shareholding and management, winding-up procedures, reinstatements, and redomiciliations. His experience also extends to UAE employment and residency, real estate, the drafting of corporate and commercial documentation, and trademark registrations across the GCC region.
Maurius is currently preparing to sit the Solicitors Qualifying Examination (SQE1) in January 2027.
