Gehad El Masry is a counsel in the Cairo office. He specializes in dispute resolution with a focus on commercial and civil litigation and white-collar defense, and investigations.
Prior to joining the firm, Gehad spent four years as judge, mediator, and member of the Technical Enforcement Bureau at the Cairo Economic Court and as judge at the New Cairo Court of First Instance. He also served as District Attorney with the Public Prosecution between 2013-2019 and worked in private practice for two years.
Gehad received an award as the Best Senior District Attorney in Egypt in 2021 from the Minister of Justice.
During his time with the Ministry of Justice, Gehad had the chance to work on a variety of complex litigation matters in various fields of law, including corporate, commercial, intellectual property, consumer protection and family law.
Gehad graduated from Cairo University Law School (English Department) in 2010, holds an LL.M in law, economics, and political science from Cairo University, and is currently pursuing his PhD in International law.
