AZIZ ABAZA

Aziz Abaza is a partner in the Cairo office. He advises several local and multinational companies on a wide array of business laws in Egypt and the Middle East region. Prior to joining AMERELLER, Aziz has worked in a number of leading law firms in Egypt and has, as well, been appointed as the General Counsel of two leading private equity companies in the MENA region.

Aziz has extensive expertise in M&A, drafting and negotiating all types of contracts and transaction documents and has been the leading lawyer on several major transactions in Egypt. He is also experienced in capital market regulations in Egypt and other major stock exchanges and has worked on several related transactions including IPOs, MTOs and GDR offerings in Egypt and abroad. Aziz conducts substantial work in the financial/ private equity sector and has been recently working on certain major project finance and development transactions, including in relation to the repurposing, development, and usufruct of the historical Tahrir Complex.
