Alexander Lütgendorf is an English and Austrian qualified senior counsel in the Dubai office of Amereller. He has been based in the Middle East for over six years.  Mr. Lütgendorf specialises in international arbitration and dispute resolution and has a strong commercial practice advising businesses on their projects in the region.

A civil and common law advocate, Mr. Lütgendorf has acted as counsel and arbitrator in numerous arbitrations under various institutions and rules, including the ICC, UNCITRAL, DIAC, Cairo Regional Centre, LCIA, ICSID, and VIAC. He also handles cross-border litigation across the Middle East and in the UAE’s DIFC Courts.

Mr. Lütgendorf is a member of the ICC Commission on Arbitration and ADR and the Chartered Institute of Arbitrators. He served as observer delegate to the UNCITRAL Working Group on Arbitration and Conciliation participating in the revision process of the UNCITRAL Arbitration Rules.
